The exhibition “Eiffel – Higher and Higher” journeys to Colombia!

Initially presented on the esplanade of the Eiffel Tower for the centenary of Gustave Eiffel’s death in 2023, the exhibition “Eiffel – Higher and Higher“, curated by our Vice President Savin Yeatman-Eiffel, continues to travel the world. After being showcased in Estonia in 2024, it has just opened in a more condensed version on Friday, February 28th, at the Alliance Française of Bogotá in Colombia. In the coming months, it will continue its journey through other cities of this beautiful country.

The exhibition retraces the life and works of Gustave Eiffel with a unique approach: placing the construction of his famous tower in its historical context, highlighting the aesthetic and technological turning point it represented for his contemporaries, as well as the numerous obstacles Gustave Eiffel had to overcome to impose his masterpiece in the face of fierce opposition and now forgotten rival tower projects.

The exhibition features a rich iconography, including many documents presented to the public for the first time. These have been digitized and enhanced in ultra-high resolution, allowing its curator and the graphic designers at Sav! The World Productions to create highly dynamic compositions aimed at both history enthusiasts and the general public.
