In homage to Gustave Eiffel, an original light show will take place every weekend from February 2 to 19, 2024, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on the rue Montcalm bridge, Gatineau – Canada. This bridge is nicknamed the “Eiffel Bridge” because of an original girder from the Eiffel tower is part of its structure. A ten-minute show, this choreography of lights, orchestrated by more than 40 spotlights, offers a unique experience for the whole family.
An official partner of Winterlude, it is the fruit of a collaboration between the Embassy of France in Canada and the Ville de Gatineau and is part of the celebrations marking the centenary of Gustave Eiffel’s death. At the end of last year, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel had already been invited to Canada to give lectures about his ancestor in Ottawa schools and to screen his film, “Eiffel, la guerre des tours” in Gatineau.
