Conferences and a special screening in Canada for the centenary of Gustave Eiffel’s death

At the invitation of the French embassy in Canada, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel gave several Eiffel – Higher and higher themed conferences at the French speaking schools of Ottawa: the lycée Claudel and Franco-Cité.

These presentations were followed at Gatineau’s city hall by a screening of Savin’s documentary “Eiffel, the towers’ war”, in its unreleased in North America 90′ version,  followed by a discussion with the audience,

The town of Gatineau has a unique relationship with Gustave Eiffel: a beam from the Eiffel Tower, present of former French president Jacques Chirac, has been decorating the Montcalm street bridge since 1990, and has since become a symbol of the powerful links between France and Canada.
